Q: How does POTENT BOOSTER works on my car?
A: POTENT BOOSTER is a tiny plug and play device to be installed in series to the electronic throttle controller connector and is fully reversible. This device will then remap the signal to the throttle controller to enable the throttle body to open up faster than the original stock settings and hence make it more responsive and powerful acceleration.
Q: How does POTENT BOOSTER improve response and horsepower?
A: Most car manufacturers factory-tuned the throttle response to low or mid range. POTENT BOOSTER just maximise the response within the car’s specification and therefore you will realised that you’ll require less effort to achieve “full throttle”.
Q: Does installation of POTENT BOOSTER cause any adverse consequence to my car?
A: POTENT BOOSTER does not alter the on-board computer settings or circuit and therefore has no consequences on your car. On the contrary, due to improvement in throttle sensitivity, it can effectively avoid carbon deposition in engine and stabilize rotary speed, thus making the engine agile and new regardless of the car age.
Q: Does installation of POTENT BOOSTER installation modify the ECU settings?
A: No, because it does not change the ECU settings or circuit.
Q: Is the accelerating effect of POTENT BOOSTER evident?
A: Extremely evident.
Q: What are the differences between semi-acceleration and full acceleration?
A: Full acceleration features quick acceleration which will bring about strong back-pushing feeling. It is applicable to fast driving. The effect of semi-acceleration is half of the effect of full acceleration. Featuring agile throttle operation, it is applicable to ordinary driving.
Q: What about the service life of POTENT BOOSTER?
A: The designed service life of POTENT BOOSTER is 15 years or more, far longer than the life-span of the modern car in Singapore.
Q: Does only AT mode suit to AT models?
A: No. If AT model is set with MT mode, the acceleration effect will become stronger, but the pause and transition feeling caused by gear shifting will be stronger as well. Therefore, if AT model is set with AT mode, such pause and transition feeling will be avoided and the driving will become more comfortable and fuel-saving.
Q: Electronic choker is also used in my car. If I have upgraded ECU, does POTENT BOOSTER still has any effect?
A: Yes. Electronic throttle booster has no bearing on any circuit and oil consumption, so the effect remains unchanged whether ECU is modified or not.
