This Subaru Car Door Greetings Projector Lamp is one of the new inventions in the market tailor-made for car owners seeking cool “showy” stuff. There are 2 types namely battery-operated projector meant for car door without puddle light while the integrated projector is meant to replace the factory yellowish puddle light cover.
Both designs are the plug-and-play type which requires no modification to the car fixture or cutting any wires. The external battery-operated projector light is powered by 3x AAA battery. Turning on or off the LED torch is controllable by a magnetic strip align at the bottom of the projector sensor position on the car door sill. This magnetic strip plays an important role to determine to turn on or off the LED projector light. The light can also be turned on or off manually via a power switch on its body. Nonetheless, if the door opens for more than 3 minutes, the lights will cut off automatically to conserve energy.
For the integrated projector, you need to pry out the existing factory door puddle light cover at the bottom of the door. Disconnect the wiring connector and reconnect it to this greetings projector. Next, push in the projector the reverse way the cover was pried out.
