The 3M Decal Backing Universal Car Sound Proof Rubber Seal is made of Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Rubber (EPDM). This material is more superior and softer than natural rubber and does not easily disintegrate under high temperatures. We offer 2 types of D profile soundproofing rubber strip namely in the form of Big D and Small D seals.
If you are using another non-durable soundproofing rubber seal that starts peeling off, then it’s time to consider a change. Our rubber strip base has been factory-coated with 3M primer prior to applying the 3M tapes. Hence, you would expect durability and it will not peel off over time. It will last for at least 5 years.
The installation is very simple as this rubber sealer comes pre-affixed with 3M backing adhesive tapes. Just peel the protective layer and run along the inner car doors’ lining or along the existing door rubber circumference for reinforcement.
